Betterment of Nashville.

Kash, Dragan, and Tyler met with the city commissioner J.S over lunch today around 11 am to discuss how car meets in Nashville can continue to happen and the response was what we weren’t expecting. J.S is completely fine with the car meets taking place but agrees with us that when the meet gets to the performance section of the meet, that it’s too much and over the top. We all love burnouts, racing, donuts, etc but there is a time and place for it. That’s your reason as to why meets are getting shut down yet people continue to do so. With that being said, the commissioner supports car meets, and not aggressive driving meets fueled by someone who just got their license.

We’ve reached an agreement that the police presence will be lessened if the meet is calm and adult like. Now, that doesn’t mean cops won’t show up, but they won’t show up with intention of shutting the meet down as long as everyone behaves themselves. My personal opinion is that for a period of time of 2019, that meets need to be chill so the police won’t continue to shut the scene down. Once the police, and the commissioner see that were all not terrible people and we’re just looking to showcase our cars and have fun, then we can look into private property where drag racing, burnouts, donuts, etc can happen. But if they don’t see a change, meets will get shut down chill or not.

J.S is very generous by agreeing to meet with us and take time out of his busy schedule so we can come to a resolution so the city is happy, and the car scene is happy so a big thank you to him! J.S is currently in search of a private property owner that will allow not only us but all the other crews to host meets as well with all the fun things that comes from meets. This is an amazing opportunity for anyone in the car scene to grow, and have fun in a safe, controlled environment. We all just need to follow the rules and if we can, beautiful things will come from it.

Additional note: Please do keep in mind that the private property is not set in stone! These were his words that are being forwarded here so everyone knows what’s going on in their scene. We’re just the messenger! Can’t kill the messenger. Nothing is promised. We need to show initiative to make this happen and have the will to behave! Everyone would love to have this.

Safety of The Car Scene

It’s no secret that the police have been onto just about everything in the car scene for a while. Hell, that’s the reason that everyone has to jump from spot to spot. However, the police are willing to help not only us (NFG) but everyone else in the car scene as well. We spoke with officer R.H (to protect his identity) on December 7, 2018 for about an hour and a half or so looking to come up with a resolution on how we can solve everything in hopes to work something out so we can continue to throw meets as well as everyone else who hosts them in the city.

The city commissioner has given orders to Officer R.H and his team to put a stop to meets at Two Rivers (2320 2 rivers pwky) and Spacepark (324 Spacepark S) specifically because of the whole ‘ItsJustA6’ meet a week or so ago held at Two Rivers. The police presence in those areas have be raised as well. Depending on how often you go to Two Rivers, if you’ve been there recently then you know that there are now cameras sitting in the Two Rivers parking lot with the primary function of capturing license plates. The reason we’re telling you guys this is to simply warn you. No one needs a ticket, a suspended license, or even jail time over a donut or burnout.

The commissioner is willing to sit down with our crew to find a ‘safe haven’ where the community can actively host meets legally, and with permits provided by the state. Wether that be an old drag strip, private property that someone wants to let us use, or a large lot, the police are trying to find us a spot where everything can be contained and we can still continue to race, do burnouts, donuts, etc but in a safe and controlled environment. The reason this was brought up by the commissioner is because of the public safety risk of racing on Briley Parkway, Interstate 40, and various other parts of Tennessee that won’t be discussed here. We’re just in the early negotiating phase of it all and have yet to meet with the city commissioner. We have however been in constant contact with Officer R.H and the sooner we get the privilege of meeting the commissioner the better. Regardless of what happens or doesn’t, please don’t be alarmed. The car scene will always and forever be here and we will as well wether this works out or not. We’re doing this for you! But we need your help. Please do stay away from both Two Rivers and Spacepark. Please do pick up your trash after meets.

Sharing this link to everyone you know would be a good start to spread awareness and will ensure the safety of everyone in the car scene so car meets can continue to happen. You must think positive. This is an amazing opportunity to happen to the car scene. If we can be patient and settle down just a little the car scene can make huge things happen! The police are listening and want to help. It’s definitely worth a shot!
